At The Book Store & Vinyl Cafe, we are committed to getting your books to you quickly, safely, and affordably. This Shipping Policy outlines our shipping methods, delivery timelines, processing procedures, and what to expect when you place an order with us.
Overview
We offer FREE standard shipping on all orders shipped within the United States. There are no minimum purchase requirements – every order, regardless of size, qualifies for complimentary shipping. We partner with trusted carriers to ensure your books and vinyl records arrive in excellent condition.

Delivery Formula: Total Delivery Time = Processing Time + Transit Time
Example: An order placed on Monday afternoon will be processed by Wednesday and delivered by the following Tuesday (assuming no delays).
Order Processing
Once you complete your purchase, your order enters our fulfillment queue. Here is what happens next:
- Processing Time: All orders are processed within 1-2 business days (Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays)
- Order Cutoff: Orders placed before 2:00 PM PT on business days will begin processing the same day. Orders placed after 2:00 PM PT or on weekends/holidays will be processed the next business day
- Verification: During processing, we pick, pack, and prepare your items for shipment, ensuring they are securely packaged. Vinyl records are specially packaged to prevent warping and damage during transit
- Shipping Confirmation: Once your order ships, you will receive an email with tracking information so you can monitor your package in real-time
Shipping Destinations
At this time, we ship exclusively within the United States. We are actively exploring options to expand our shipping services to additional countries in the future. If you are located outside our current shipping zone, please contact us at info@thebookstorevinylcafe.com to discuss potential alternatives.
Tracking Your Order
All orders include tracking information, which will be sent to you via email once your package has shipped. You can use this tracking number to:
- Monitor your package location in real-time
- See estimated delivery dates
- Confirm successful delivery
- Identify any delays or exceptions
If you do not receive tracking information within 1-2 business days of placing your order, please check your spam/junk folder or contact us at info@thebookstorevinylcafe.com.
Delivery Issues
Lost or Missing Packages
If your package shows as delivered but you have not received it:
- Check with household members or neighbors
- Look around your delivery location (porch, mailbox, etc.)
- Wait 24-48 hours (sometimes packages are marked delivered early)

We will work with the carrier to locate your package. If it cannot be found, we will issue a replacement or full refund at no additional cost to you.
Damaged Packages
If your order arrives damaged, please contact us within 7 days of delivery. We will need:
- Your order number
- Clear photos of the damaged item(s)
- Photos of the packaging (if possible)
- Brief description of the damage
Email this information to info@thebookstorevinylcafe.com, and we will review your case. Approved claims will receive a replacement, refund, or store credit as appropriate.
Delayed Shipments
While we strive for on-time delivery, occasional delays may occur due to weather, carrier issues, or other unforeseen circumstances. If your order has not arrived within the expected delivery window, please contact us and we will investigate.

We partner with USPS, UPS, trusted national carriers known for reliable service and careful handling. These partnerships allow us to offer competitive rates and comprehensive tracking while maintaining high standards for package care.
International Shipping
We currently do not offer international shipping. We are evaluating options for expanding to Canada and other countries. Please check back in the future or subscribe to our newsletter for updates.
Address Changes
If you need to change your shipping address, contact us immediately at info@thebookstorevinylcafe.com. We can update your address if your order has not yet been shipped. Once a package is in transit, we cannot redirect it, but we can work with you to arrange reshipment if necessary.
